What’s your go to predator rifle?

I have a pair of 243's for day and night, both DPMS G2, which are much lighter/smaller than the typical AR-10 but not as small as a 15. Both lasers with 87's, one the bthp, the other Vmax. IMO those G2's should have caught on in a big way but Rem took DPMS down with them.

It gets it done. If it weren’t for NY laws requiring sub 22 cal centerfire rifles at night in certain units during deer seasons, I would just stick with the 243 now. The 204 has done me well though.

Shotguns don’t see a lot of action, but every now and again I get the urge to get up close and personal!

Carry both in the same gun.

what bullet are you using with your .204? I've had good luck with 40gr Vmax in my .204
40gr Nosler Ballistic Tips and Berger 35gr hollow points. Both have performed great on coyotes.

I'm not a big fan of the 20 cal Vmax for coyotes. Had some splashes with them. The NBT 40 and Berger 35 give me better terminal performance.

I'll have to give them a try, I've had a few runners with the Vmax

My oldest son and I built a 6creed on an old rem 700 platform, and that’s what I’ve been using lately with 87gr hornady factory vmaxes. They wreck a coyote. The only drawback is that my son is a very large individual and doesn’t mind carrying that heavy rifle around. The rifle has a heavy 26” barrel, a grayboe stock and an Arken scope & it’s gotta be 15+ lbs. I’m thinking about going back to one of my lighter ar platforms. I’ve got a 223, a 6arc, and a 6.5 grendel and I have way more ammo for those 3 guns than the creed anyway. I just wish they were as accurate as our creed.

Love a short rifle for coyotes & I like your camo pattern, Murl! Coyotes seem to like it (or not) just as well; looks like it works great for ya. ;)
