About 10-15 minutes of Jackrabbit with a couple Female howls. Had a mojo critter out but caught her trying to downwind me.

Went out this evening. First stand didn't have anything come out for us. Second stand we set up and started off with a female howl. We had some answers about 400 yards out. Ran some rabbit distress and had one come in to about 30 yards. VTR223 shot and the feller turned on the turbo boosters and was gone. Tracked it for a while. Little blood here and there. Never did find it.

First outing for me so far and had a ball.

Some nice yotes fellas.

I need to get out and find a place to go, sucks being new to an area.I'm used to the west with tons of public land.

All empty sets so far, think I have done a total of 15-17 sets over the last month with no responses. I know I am in the area of coyotes but it seems they are always on the opposite side of the road that I call every time!

I have confirmed this through tracks the next day. I will keep at it though, has been some great weather for it this year!

Would like to find a partner in the Central Ohio area, still pretty new to this would need to be shown the ropes, safe/ethical hunter here, shoot me a PM if interested. Thanks

Hi all, Marion is my home range. Looks like Hardin County is my closest competition

I'll be headed up to the Columbus/Pataskala area sometime this spring to visit my wife's family. Do any of you guys live around there and maybe willing to let me tag along for a coyote or groundhog hunt? I'd be happy to just shoot some hogs as they're scarce down here.

They are kinda scarce around here as well, inside the city limits of Columbus there are areas that are filthy with them(Groundhogs) go outside the city limits and its a different story. I think the yotes have done a bit of a job on them, they dont seem to set up shop in the middle of a field anymore, more tree lines, brushpiles and creek banks.Originally Posted By: cityslickerI'll be headed up to the Columbus/Pataskala area sometime this spring to visit my wife's family. Newly relocated to Miami County, one mile northwest of New Carlisle. Experienced hunting song dogs off and on for 30 years. Mostly out west, NV, AZ & CA.

If anyone knows any farmers or ranchers around this area needing help with predator control, I'd be more than happy to help.
