Ohio Roll Call

Haha... Yeah, I've had plenty of that. I havn't even seen a buck bow hunting yet. About to switchgears to yote hunting. I may even have permission on a new spot. Still waiting to hear.
 
2 days ago my Rip cord drop away rest decided not to drop away and ripped one of the fletches off in flight. Hit the buck and pretty much bounced off of him. I'm about done with deer hunting.
 
Got a bunch of new farms to hunt , been scouting and a little bit of calling . Called one in last week and the cows started chasing it off before it got within range . Called another one in 2 nights ago , but as he circled downwind he got between myself and a house . So ya pretty much the same for me "bad luck " . Gonna have to put the yote hunting on hold til after deer season is through . Hoping to get out one day next week .

That's no good. I had issues with my rest. Just recently got it fixed and ready to go. It's a QAD.

Its youth gun weekend right now. Plan in going and hanging in a tree this evening to see if the neighboring property's will stir some action up.

Right down the street , bought quite a few calls from last year . Also killed a few with them . Been a while since we talked.
 
New member Here in Springfield....just getting started after a 12-14yr lay-off....I plan on hunting smaller ares small field with a wood lot ...using a scoped .357 mag Ruger GP-100..

Thanks man. I have a few places but haven't been out. Picked them up this spring, herniated a disk in July. Down til end of sept. Been working to catch up. Plus no one to go with and wife won't let me go alone. Never really done much serious calling. Looking for help/partner(s).

Hmmm, my wife tells me to go alone all the time, yours must care more for you than mine does for me. Haha...
 
I'm in town in Springfield. As far as wives, I can't speak for yours. Mine on the other hand either loves me that much, or she doesn't want me hurt since I'm the only one working and she stays home with our son. Lol.
