BCA?

I ordered a BCA bolt upper receiver on the 19th. Still no shipping confirmation. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

was it backorder status?

i would say thats fairly out of the ordinary for them if not.

i ordered from them (not a bolt action) on the same day and had my delivery on the 26th

Was in stock. Is in stock now. Guess I’ll have to try to call them tomorrow. Was kinda hoping to have it by now. If there was an issue with the order, wish they would’ve called of emailed me.

I got mine in two days with Priority Shipping. Cost a little more but what I saved on the trigger it was worth the extra few bucks. Usually same day shipping if ordered before 3 PM central time.

I was going to order one. And leave the spring and buffer in it. And get the spring assist closer. It maybe hard to get adjusted to.

Come to find out, with a phone call, my order was not in stock and is being machined now. Guess I’ll just wait and hope that the machining goes well. At least it’ll be fresh.

My buddy had the exact same thing happen. Took 2 weeks to be made.

Well I am new to the site and to 6arc, got a wild hair mid December and ordered a 24" 416R upper from BCA, took a few days to get it and took longer to get a mag from Midway. It took 3 shots to zero it at 45y, have shot 10 rounds through it and the last 2 tagged 2 deer at about 65y. The gun range renews membership July 1st , I am gathering ammo and a press dies and supply's before it opens for me. It shoots the 108g same hole but will know soon enough. I have 110 rds of the 108g target left for testing and reloading. Will get some other weights and test it before I start getting bullets. It's a 8 twist. Hope to learn a lot about the likes and dislikes of the caliber, never loaded before but I am retired now and don't have to rush lol.

Small update on my 6Arc upper from BCA.
Didn't get a ton of range time on it today but finally got some.
Shooting factory 103ELDx Precision hunters.
Shot right at 1" at 100.
Wouldnt say its the best. But it isnt bad. Haven't ran anything else through it yet either.
Does seem to be a bit undergassed I think. Might pick up an adjustable gas block and see how it does

If it's undergassed, not sure the adjustable GB will help you any. They work great for reducing over gassed guns but not the other way around.
Check the gas rings on the bolt as well as make sure the gas key is tight and staked before spending money.
Make sure the gas port and gas block are aligned.
Might have to enlarge the gas port. Then an adjustable gb would be beneficial.

So for enlarging the gas port what is the best way to do that?
I understand its drilling it out. But is there certian bits that need to be used to do it?

Never done it myself but a WAG would be a cobalt bit and only enlarge ever so slightly and only if you must. You can always remove more but you can't put it back.

Throw a milspec carrier in it and see how it cycles. Ive seen some low gas with bca sidecharge bolts. If a different bolt carrier corrects the low gas issue look into Alexandria Profab sidecharge bolts.
