Finally! I shot this big male last night on the bait pile in gale force winds. I hit him too far back with a liver shot and he ran a long way before piling up in the field. I recovered him this morning, and will post a short video later today.

Outstanding DU! Hopefully the baitsite will be picking up. Mine is absolutely quiet, zero activity. Fresh carcass out as well. In time, I hope...

Glad you found him, DoubleUp.

Scalloper, that table looks pretty good.

I am back at the shack again tonight, stayed last night too. A large bobcat visited last night. A red and gray fox are frequent visitors also but no sign of a coyote. It’s about time one shows up.

So the picture of my bait pile and shack came through?

No, Alf reposted the picture for you Scalloper. I can't see the pictures you've just posted because I don't have a photobucket account. Most people here left photobucket years ago. I would suggest you open a Flickr account which is free and easy to use.

Owen on my set up 175 yards is 2 properties over. I think I missed this one the other night, but I loose sight so quickly it is hard to tell. It was raining which turned to snow by morning, plus I squeezed at the NUC. Good thing was three more came back 2 days later. Good shooting.

Paul, I'm pretty sure that was a kill shot. I viewed it in HD and slowed 4 times. The coyote jumped like it was hit and ran to the right while the second one went straight away. Assuming your rifle is sighted accurately and you had a good steady hold as the video shows, that coyote was running dead with a heart shot.

Owen it NUCed just before I squeezed and I didn't review the video to realize that for a couple days. It was also raining which turned to snow an hour later with an inch on the ground by morning. First light I took my lab looking for the one that ran straight away but was limited on time by work, it wasn't till I reviewed video 2 days later I saw I was looking for the wrong one. I been shooting pretty good, if it wasn't for the NUC I'd agree with you, he may be dead but no recovery.

First triple off bait this winter, last night. First to last about 1/2 hr(single, single, single). Hog for bait, was out about a week before visits started. Could not have hunted last night(fog) with night vision, thermal was the game changer.

WTG Spot!! You have got to figure out how to post pics here!! Sounds like a good night!!
Stay after em! Congrats!!
P.S. Look at Flickr, not too complicated...
