Yeah at least he didn’t get away. Hopefully get some more killed on Sunday. You're bound to have a bad result so hopefully they are few and far between.

I’m at 3445 fps on a 24in barrel (6 creed). So far I’ve got 21 coyotes killed with this combo. Only 1 coyote survived the bullet and I thought it might have been a “splash” because I couldn’t find a hole in his shoulder. Other than that, I’ve had good luck with the bullet from inside 100 yards to 790 yards on confirmed kills. Gave one a haircut at 600 the other day and almost had another one at 1018 yards a few months back. It’s been an accurate bullet for me.I came here to see how everyone was likening the 80 eld-vt. I think mine might be splashing. I have shot 4 coyotes with them from 100-208 yards. 3 of them needed follow-up shots. One shot was in the back quarters so that is understandable. The rest were mid body and further forward. I am running them pretty hard with stabal 6.5, around 3475 in my 26" 1:8 243. I think I might try to slow them down and see what happens. I had my best accuracy with once fired brass. 2.8000" is my COL for my 243.
What twist is your .243?shooting 243 and tested 80gr Eldvt, 87gr Vmax on paper, very good and sub Moa @ 3400fps on bolt rig. Went with 87gr for price, both shot very good groups but @ 2x the price. The juice wasnt worth the squeeze to me, Im sure they would do damage on coyotes
