Primarily herd animals, they are usually found in groups of up to 50-75 animals. Both male and females have horns and it is extremely difficult to stalk within gender ID/shooting range with that many eyes/ears on alert.

The bulls' horns can be a bit heavier and shorter than the cows' but only positive method is checking out the plumbing, which can be difficult to impossible. I suspect the two on right were cows, but.............

My '74 Chev. Five of us. Me, my friends Tim and Johnny, and both of their little brothers. Johnny took the picture. Tim with the beard, me with the clean face and long hair. Little brothers in the back with five dead bucks.

That was in the Book Cliffs. Which was a heckua long drive back then. Crammed me Tim and Johnny in the front, made the little brothers ride in the back the whole way. Tore a rear brake hard line off the axle and broke it recovering a deer. Had very minimal brakes the whole way home. When we stopped for gas in the first town, I fixed the brake by buying a Sharpie and blacking out the brake light on the dash :ROFLMAO: .
