And of course, we had to have something to eat. Our family of five averaged $30.00 per month for items we consumed other than what we gardened, canned or slaughtered. Hog killing always came around on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and on Friday after it was fresh venison. Oh ,Happy Day! Anybody else care to share?

Sounds like ya done good there, Bud. No ads, but remember a few prices when we first married in 1956. Gasoline was as low as 19 cents/gal and our grocery/household budget was $10/week.
