This is a hike that my family and a friends family went on a few years ago. It was into a place called Cave Draw. It was a 12 mile round trip on the hottest day of the summer, 104 degrees.

The canyon is over 900 feet deep at this point, and is only accessible by the trail we hiked in on or by kayak. It was a long hard hot day, but worth every minute of it.

Most property owners do not want them on their property; they are very destructive of crops and fences. One of the ranches I hunt has managed to keep them off the property until very recently but they paid close attention to their fences. We would see them across the fence but never on that ranch until very recently. Once they get in they multiply like rabbits.
