Set up a camera for whitetail and naturally Im getting piles of mulies instead haha
It always floors me how tall a wolf stands.Only have 3 cams out right now, aside from my own property (batteries are dead on most of my cams at home too) but i did check one of my public land cams yesterday. Wolves, yotes, bears, bobcats, whitetail, muleys. Still no moose or lions, pretty strange. View attachment 10979View attachment 10980
I shoot does.I live/hunt in an area with a very high deer density. I always have people asking to go hunting with me. I usually tell them, I will take you and you can shoot as many does as you legally can. They always reply, "what about bucks". Then I say, nope, no bucks. That usually ends the conversation pretty quick. I'm not spending all that money for land, seeds, tractor, fuel, etc. to just let everyone come and kill my bucks.
Often cameras click when they go off. Or some sort of audible noise. Not these. I do have a couple older models that flash the red LEDs
Not a trail cam pic, but it was too pretty and actually cool this evening to not take the climber and go sit. Saw 5-6 does and fawns, a couple spikes, and an old 6pt that’s just a tank as far as body size.

Well this was something I haven’t ever seen on my cameras. This is my backyard camera that’s out 24/7/365. About the only thing that makes sense is that I may have mowed over and killed something for them to be there? I do get a lot of snakes, toads and frogs during the mowing season. Been known to get a few field mice too.
Definitely seen them atop the towers before. Nothing consistent, but at times. Kinda creepy as hell after a rain when they’re all perched with their wings spread wide. Drying out before taking flight I guess. They may be using the power line as roost. We have a local flock down from my house that has been using the power lines for years.
