FMJ’s aren’t “legal” here for game animals, but they have dropped a pile of hogs for me with the .223.

I just took out my Tikka and set the scope with some 75gr GoldDots. Will probably shoot some does with it in the next few weeks.
Wouldn't bother me a bit to use FMJ's. Secrete is no secrete, pay attention to where you place your bullet.
