Just shoot em' in the toe.If only coyotes, I would probably use a .243 or dabble with another 6 mm. Because I'm always hoping for a bobcat, I still use a boring old .223.
Nothing wrong with that. I used a 308 for 5 years but now that I have places to hunt where shots can be 300 plus yards, I hunt with a 243. The 243 and 308 does make a mess of things when they come in under 100 yds though.Thought about getting into some of these other cartridges and maybe if I lived in a different part of the US then I might, but for me it’s way overkill I know, but I go with the .308. I don’t want to have to switch rifles for hogs or coyotes and want to know if I hit it, it’s going down. Gotta have pics to get paid, lol.

Yeah, I have to do some serious posing and placing things for pic purposes. Hogs ain’t too bad, but coyotes rarely are easy pics. Most managers/landowners don’t care, but I still try and keep them tasteful.Nothing wrong with that.
