Ohio Roll Call

Found a new honey hole over the past spring, got permission bout a month ago. Fella told me, just sit right here at my flag pole in the front yard, I'm tellin you they cross the road here every morning bout 630-700 am. Thought what ever, and thanked him for permission to hunt his cattle pasture. Welp, goin to work this mornin bout 6:45 cruised by cause me and the boy were gonna go 2night or Sat. and there was 1 hit by a car at his mailbox bout 30 yards from the flag pole. Lil to close to the road for me, but the moral of the story is listen to where they tell you to sit.

I am ready to get out. Cooling down in the mornings and the crops are getting cut. Yea, it's that time.
Good luck to all my fellow Buckeyes this year getting after the fur!

Pickaway county (Orient/Commercial Point) a few miles east of the Orient Prison

I took my first 2 yotes last year and Im hooked. I shoot long range precision matches as well so yote hunting is a nice addition to the practice bag when it comes to unusual shooting positions and moving targets. Hopefully I will get a chance to meet a few of you.

Any of you around here hunt with NVD's ?

@Loggers, I have a good friend that lives in Circleville that I come down and coyote hunt with there as well. I also find myself spending a lot of time at the Rural King and TSC down there getting misc crap.

Let me know if you ever want some additional company to clean out to coyotes.

Same with mine. Hoping they will be down in the next week or 2 max.

I have a friend at work who told me he took a doe the other day on some private property, well just as he took the doe a couple bucks moved into the area so he decided not to spook them by getting down from his stand as he knew the doe was down a little behind him, well flash forward 20-25 minutes(enough time for bucks to clear and him pull his truck around) he gets to his deer(or whats left) I guess like in that time coyote had gotten to it and big hunks were missing from the throat/gut/and [beeep] end, he just had to leave it, my guess would be a couple of them are going to get stuck with arrows before the end of the year, thought it was a interesting story to share.

was running my beagles this past week getting them in shape for opening season and rt before dark a couple coyotes light up back a long field thats hidden where i run. slipped in the next evening and rolled one of two that came into the call. came charging hard too. ive let my coyote calling take a back seat the past few years to my dogs though ive still killed a few. that got my blood flowing again. now im itching to call some more!!!!

I've seen more coyote at my favorite deer hunting spot than I have seen deer

I need to clear em out and get my deer back on the property.

Went out Monday night and Thursday night. My son said I've been being greedy lately, so I'm letting him shoot. Monday night 0/2 finally after 20 min two made their apperance. Had to be about 6 different dawgs barking in this ditch. Both were trotting shots couldn't get them to stop. Thursday night 0/1 had 1 pop in from no where, straight on chest shot, he must've flinched , i tried a running shot no connection, then the companion stood on a lil hill barked bout 400 yards out, no shot

I'm hoping the land owner where I hunt will agree to let me get out and try to kill some coyotes. The deer numbers are WAY down this year.

Congrats on your kills Loggers Inn!
