Ohio guys

Just make sure you wait till after Jan. 1st to hunt coyotes on any ground controlled by the Div. of Wildlife. Zaleski,Hocking,Tar Hollow state forest.

It is unlawful for any person to use or hunt with a rifle, pistol, or revolver from October 15 through January 1 during the daylight hours on any lands owned, administered or under agreement with the Division of Wildlife, except when properly used on a designated Division of Wildlife target range or when hunting squirrels with a rimfire rifle, pistol, or revolver or when deer hunting with a muzzleloading rifle or legal pistol or revolver during the youth deer gun season, deer gun season, statewide muzzleloader season, and the early muzzleloader season

Ok, so I am going to start taking tabs on who is planning on meeting up on January 27th for some coffee/ breakfast and some scouting and hunting? If you are planning on it, just reply! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

WLDKNINE:Welcome and you more than welcome to come along also on this hunt if you.

Great to see more guys from Ohio,I'm still looking for someone to come down here to perry county and show me how its done.I've got yotes all around me but I can't seem to connect with any of'em.Their is plenty of sign around,
they have yet to fall victum to the Foxpro.Lots of cover around here seems to be the biggest problem.Rolling hills and lots of woods.Anyone want to shot at'em PM me

Let me know if anyone on here is going to be hunting in or directly around Tuscarawas County. I'd be more then happy to try my hand at a few.....

Sack, Im still tryin to get up your way. Shoot- Me, you AND Rooster all live within 45 minutes of each other-no reason for us all not meeting yet- save world and time. Rooster will vouch for me in that being a funeral director I have absolutely no idea when a day off is going to occur. People pass away, I go to work. I think weve tried 3 or 4 times to meet up, only to have someone pass and want the services on his days off. The good Lord has a peculiar sense of humor when it comes to me.

Anyways- are you locating the yotes, or just cold calling? My cold calling sucess rate is terrible.

Try this- Locate them the night before- or early the morning of a hunt. Sometimes I go completely thru all my hunting spots with NO responses. When this happens, I usually stay home and tend to the honey do list. When they are located use your personal knowledge of the area to form a plan of attack. This is where footwork before during and after season becomes 10 times more important than what call you use, camo you wear, or gun you shoot. Setting up in places where they want to be will allways work out better than trying to coax them into a position that they arent cool with. This can trully suck, but, with the numbers that we have, its what I have to do to make it work for me.

Hey, us three, or who ever else wants for that matter oughta meet up for pizza and coldies some night for S&G's anyways. Ill buy.
