$100 bounty. Everybody with a gun must be trying to kill em.
Not this guyNo kidding. Id be happy with a $10 bounty
That’s interesting, it makes sense too. I’d bet that 70s fur price really did put a lot of pressure too. Holy smokesOnly in the beginning. Bunch of guys thought it would be easy money, but they almost all gave up on it pretty quickly. When Utah got kind of tired of paying bounty on Nevada coyotes, they changed the rules a bit and most guys I know just quit even bothering to collect the bounty after that. It never changed how much they hunted, one way or the other.
Thing is, there has always been a ton of pressure. The killers have always been around and they didn't go anywhere because of the bounty, just kept doing what they do. But between the long time killers, the annual crop of clueless noobs, the farmers and ranchers, the guys who just always have a gun and shoot at everything, etc., coyotes here have ALWAYS been highly pressured. Hell, in the 70's, a good year of calling could buy you a brand new pickup truck from your fur check. THAT was PRESSURE. Nowadays, there are just three times as many people all crammed into even less space. So more callers in less area. But that isn't because of the bounty.
Long winded. But coyotes have always been cross wired all to hell around here. The bounty only made it worse in certain places and really only for the first year I think. But it wasn't that much different than it has always been.

We dont even get $10 for the stretched hide so they arent worth keeping. Its just a pure loss to hunt them. I can't imagine getting paid to do it, that must be great. Not this guy
A hundred dollar bounty on yotes, really? Wonder how much they pay out each year, thats crazy.Nice thing about hunting in Utah they just increased the Bounty to $100 a coyote. And with the TSS shot, 1 shot usually equals a dead coyote. So $55 dollars for a box of five= $500 in coyotes. Pretty good return on my money I would say.
