Not enough evidence to prove he did in fact attempt to procure dirty deeds done dirt cheap... This song is very befitting

"American Dreaming"

I need my conscience to keep watch over me
To protect me from myself
So I can wear honesty like a crown on my head
When I walk into the promised land

We've been too long American dreaming
I think we've all lost the way
Forlorn somnambulistic maniacal
In the dark

I'm in love with an American girl
Well, she's my best friend
I love her surreptitious smile
That hides the pain within her

And we'll go dancing in the rings of laughter
And leave alone by the shores
Feel alone in the brands of rapture
And leave alone for the loss

Yeah, on the lea the rising wind blows
Yeah, on the lea the rising wind blows
How long? How long?

Here alone on the grounds of allegiances
We've left behind
Turned back by the foot of the doorway
Never lost and found

We've been too long American dreaming
I think we've all lost the heart
Forlorn somnambulistic maniacal
In the dark

Yeah, on the lea the rising wind blows
Yeah, on the lea the rising wind blows
How long? How long?

Same as last week, I won't be around here tomorrow (Friday), so I'm posting early.
I looked back thru the last 30-45 days or so, & didn't see any of the songs I'm wanting to post.
So, I hope I haven't posted these in quite a while.........

When I was growing up, I always had a crush on this little gal, as well as loved her singing.

And while she's not of the same generation, gotta show some "lovin" to Kansas gal, Martina.
Whether performing her own songs, or someone else's, she's hard to top, IMHO.......

Check out this Opry debut in '92

Fast forward 5 years or so.

Fast forward another 5 or so.

Heck, she can even almost out-Benatar, Benatar!!! (BTW, Pat was another of my early crushes! Hahahaha)
I remember watching this when CMT first aired it.

And "other's" songs.......

Heard this one yesterday and guessed wrong who it was..

This is a very nostalgic song of the era in which it was written... a time of relative calm known as the Cold War.... Retro...

"All for freedom and for pleasure... Nothing ever lasts forever.. Everybody wants to rule the world..."

What once was old is new again?..
Several post you have made Infidel 762, that have made me think more complex than I most often do

As has been the case in the past few weeks, I'm posting a day early, because I won't be here on Friday.

I've done it a few times for karaoke...doing both parts of the duet.
Not easy to do...plus it's a dang LLLOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGG song!!!! Hahahahaha

My all-time favorite song off the Bat Out Of [beeep] album.

Does anyone remember these next 2 great old tunes?

I came across them just now.
Haven't heard them since I was in high school.

Speaking of songs I haven't heard since high school...check out these from Heart.
