Flattest shooting caliber

I have had several rounds that I thought were exceptional in flat shooting:

22/250 AI zero freebore-12 twist hart-27" 50's@4175; 55's at 4050-4075 fps

6 Rem AI 1-14 twist, 26" shilen, zero freebore- 70b ballistic tips at 4100 fps

270 Win-29" hart- 90g sierra@3900 fps

270 win-24" Ruger factory SS barrel-110g tripple shocks and
110g Sierra's at 3550 using R#17 and fed 215's.

6.5 Rem Mag AI-29" hart barrel-85g at 3900fps

257 Weatherby 26" Pac Nor-Zero freebore-100's@3850; 85's at
4130. 12" twist, 30" hart in the same
with the 100g Sierra at 4000 fps

7mm stw-26" Pac Nor Super Match, three groove, zero freebore, 120's at 3850 shooting very tiny groups in the high 2's and low 3's.

at a 1000yds they pretty much all drop a min.of 18 feet.that is a good bullet with a high B.C. and enough weight and speed to get it there.light bullets lose speed faster but the the b.c. has to be good

I've had both the 300 win mag and now the 7mm mag, and the seven is much easier to shot in a light, easy to carry gun.

Why do you hate brakes? I really don't know much about them...never been around one. Is it because it makes them louder?

Brakes are louder and have a lot of muzzle blast to side and back. If you get the right brake. On a big boomer makes it fun to shoot. Iv got 6 different kinds and they work for recoil at different degrees.

Some people dont like them and some do. Ill take the noise for reduction in recoil. The muzzle blast at the range you have to watch. It will move things around.

Did not mean to highjack thread.
