Ok...so they investigated the "US entity" of those china thermals to russia and got nowhere..... Anyone that thinks china is only making thermal and NV for the US market ain't too bright.

It’s a supply and demand issue. And the supply is getting cut off. The price of thermal scopes and scanners already in the USA, may become much more expensive.
I got curious to read some of the comments in this post but wish I never would have after reading dave3006's post. Nothing to do with furnishing information as to the question posed and everything to do with some political view. I won't comment on the view. I try to be guided by the saying " just because I hear an ass braying in the distance doesn't mean I have to bray back".

One good thing about having so many different people on the forum is that you are going to get a lot of different views, beliefs, etc. That's not always a bad thing. Most of the time I actually enjoy it.

China will probably try to flood U.S. with much reduced price products of all types, to try and play the public opinion game. Just don't buy anything made in China, this would help the world not just USA. China economy is teetering on a great depression, they need USA more than we need them.
