I wouldn't trust a 25y zero. I know it lines up close in some situations, but I wouldn't slip rings at 25y and hit the woods. I zero all of my hunting rifles at 200y. With a 200y zero and most varmint cartridges, I can point and shoot to beyond 300y. That covers 99% of my shot opportunities. I run a ballistic app as well, so I have my dope for all ranges, and if I stick with a bullet long enough, I will take it out to the big range and true that data out to 600y or further, (cartridge dependent), just in case. I've only ever shot at one coyote beyond 400y, it's just the nature of my ground here in west TN.
