224 Valkyrie for coyotes???

I was going to say, I thought the NXS was a little longer case than the nosler, which is why you can't touch the 22 nosler sizing die to the Shell holder while sizing nxs brass.?

At the end of the day we’re both wasting our time arguing with someone who ignores reason or logic. Someone who doesn’t even acknowledge the fact wind drift exists and advantages even at 300 yards is obviously out of tune with what it takes to connect when shots get out there.

Might explain why him and a buddy dumped two mags at a coyote before they connected. Hmmm, but 22 Nosler is the bees knees.

Well if you must know it's because we've never killed a quad and we called in four and we dump the first three each with one shot and the last coyote was at 400 yards ballz out when we started shooting and we finally had him leveled at over 500.

I'm just staying in so the Op can get some accurate information instead the theories that have never been tested by the posters.

I'm sure the OP feels like he has had more than enough help from this thread, and therefore I am out. I do admire your resolve though.

Then you should delete your posts and leave if you want him to have accurate info. LOL

Everything I put here is nothing but tested facts that I've personally researched and done in my front yard on my hundred yard range. You keep bringing untested theories. We've also killed somewhere near 65 coyotes with a 22 Nosler since the cartridge came out. How many have you killed with your Valkyries?

My other advice for the Op is if you want to shoot heavier than 55 or 60 grain bullets do yourself a favor and step up to 6 mm. The bullet choice is so much better.

55's and 60's shoot just fine out of my xcaliber 20" 1-7. Doubt 1-6.5 would be much different.

Lol. Must be the last straw if we are arguing twist rates as if someone is locked into a 6.5 or 7 twist if they choose to shoot a valk.

You gotta realize, when you are losing an argument about cartridges, the first thing you do is start comparing a 3rd cartridge so that you can feel better about it.

I want to go calling with varminter .223, I can't get enough of this guy! seriously, you are a riot!(and i like busting your chops a bit)

Is that why 6 Dashers and 6 mm Creedmoor was brought up so often by the valkyrie fanboys. I'm simply pointing out that a projectile has no idea what chamber it is pushed from. It is simply pressure resulting in speed through a given twist barrel. The 22 Nosler is very comparable to speed as the 22-250.

You are relentless! I love it! I'm pretty sure I understand where he was going with that, you know, a smaller case with a better and more efficient design being more appealing even if it means you lose a little bit of velocity.
