I didn’t realize…

When I joined this site I had no idea how much it would cost me. So much for just reading and learning, lol.
I used to think of myself more along the lines of a leader rather than a follower, but I’ve let this site put things in my head that has influenced me down a path I seem to have no control over.
I was perfectly happy doing things my way and with the equipment I had and just thought I’d read a little and see how others do it.
First it cost me a scanner. Not too bad, but still.
Next came hand calls, no I haven’t had success yet, but give it time.
I was a perfectly content to keep shooting my .308 and saw no reason for anything else. Unfortunately I believe there are subliminal messages inside the messages and now I’ve ordered a new Ruger American Go Wild in .243. Already got some 55gr Nosler Varmageddons to try in it.
I guess I’ll move the iRay to the new rifle cause I’m already in enough trouble with the wife if I get another thermal.
Y’all keep me in your thoughts please as I try and shake this spell.
Thanks…

Exactly!
When I started lurking back in 2007, it was basically reloading knowledge I was looking for for my 22-250 and .243.
Even though I was already coyote hunting there wasn't the visual aspects we have now....posting pics was a pain and there were few people from round my way that were on the boards....but some of the legends from out "west" were and I was a sponge.
After some of the recent updates PM has done has really help a lot of people and hurt a lot of bank accounts.
I picked up 2 more Savage 110 243s this year...they are quite lighter than my existing coyote setups.

There is no cure!

I’m sure you’re not done yet 😃 ! Do you have an RRS TRIPOD yet , lol ? I’m liking my new Ruger American Go Wild in .243 ! Lightest predator rifle I have !
Now if a company would just make me a lightweight short aluminum swivel stool 🤔 !

Enjoy the experience, keep shopping !
Oh ya don’t listen to jmeddy he’s cost me a bundle 😜 !

i was happy with a red light and home made shooting sticks. then i met limbhanger10 on another site. over $6,000 dollars later i now have a tripod, thermal scanner, thermal scope, better trigger and am happily enjoying coyote a lot more than i did.

spurchaser, you arent done yet. you need a tripod, an arca rail system and a MDT Chassis for the new rifle.

forget about moving the thermal to the new gun. you'll just move it back when you want to hunt with something else. buy a new thermal too, and dont listen to ChrisLD he's going to talk you into a helmet mounted thermal scanner.

Lol I’m getting sucked in to exactly the same thing. Thought I bought and had everything…But the real ones on predatormasters use stools and tripods so I just need those and I’m all set. Need a new caller then it’s done that’s it. Hmmm a thermal would be a game changer and a lot of fun too, maybe I’ll need one next year…now I need to start walking around in the woods in the dark too let’s try it out…need to buy some red color for my headlamp back to the store again…

Mick, you're a troublemaker! Like I said, misery loves company.🤣
You're just not trying hard enough to spend money on a swivel stool/chair. Didn't take long w/a bit of help from Google to find just a couple that might help you part with a bit of pocket change. You don't have to thank me, just trying to help here.😉😉

COOL FOLDING ALUMINUM STOOL

OR THE FULL MEAL DEAL...THERE ARE MANY MORE TO CHOOSE FROM IT THIS IS NOT A FIT
😁

I’ve got 3-5yrs before I retire so I’ve been telling my wife I’m just trying to accumulate everything so I won’t be spending money when I retire…she’s not quite buying it though.
Yes, a lighter tripod is in the future and possibly another caller. I am proud of myself though, everything I’ve bought has been with my side money and these are counted towards a business expense although I’m not sure how much longer my accountant is going to keep letting me add guns and thermals. She had the audacity to ask this tax season just how many I need when I’m the only employee? I told her just to work her magic and keep the three letter agency out of my business.
