man that seems heavy for having a carbon fiber barrel22 CM with X-caliber 20" CF Barrel 8T, Solus Action, Dead Air Nomax 33 TI Can in an XLR Element Chassis, topped with a Pulsar Thermion 2 XP Pro- Total weight 13.6 lbs
Edit: Tripod is a FatBoy
Barrel weighs 2lbs 10 oz. Pulsar Thermion and AD QD mount adds 3 plus pounds to the weight. I can't remember how much the Solus Action weighs. The chassis, buffer tube, butt stock and Ergo grip are heavily built and made for PRS. The weight also includes suppressor/ suppressor cover, an added 13" ACRA/PIC rail, brass catcher, 10 round MagPul mag loaded with 10 rounds, gun sling and I also have a blue laser mounted too that I use to recover in tall grass, etc. Whole rifle is pretty light compared to my PRS rifles at 22-26lbs.man that seems heavy for having a carbon fiber barrel
I'm running a Remington 700 26” SS barrel, Ultradyne chassis, smoke composites CF stock w/ folding stock adapter, sling, full mag & Leupold VX3 scope 11lbs. 5oz. When I put my Iray GH50 on it it weighs 11lbs. 12oz.. It would be sweet if I put a CF barrel on her.Barrel weighs 2lbs 10 oz. Pulsar Thermion and AD QD mount adds 3 plus pounds to the weight. XLR ran a Black Friday deal on their magnesium chassis and with a smoke CF butt stock and grip will weigh 26oz. Of course, the estimated delivery date will be March -April so I'm using the old school chassis temporally

Exactly. Unfortunately, their original chassis are not M-Lok pattern nor were they milled for ARCA as that wasn't the norm back then.I saw that flyer sent in email from XLR on those new lightweight magnesium chassis sale.. would really like to move-up on one of those. I am still running one of their old 1st year run in business chassis. Keep it set-up with a 16" suppressed 30blk and NV on top for one of my night rigs . the old xlr heavy compared to all their new current lineup, but that old XLR will never wear out, built like a tank.

What bullet are you liking in that 308 for coyote?Coyote gun: Ruger Predator .308 with an IRay Bolt TH50C and Banish Supperssor

Hog gun: Ruger SFAR 16” .308 with an AGM Rattler TS35 640 and a Banish Suppressor

With that said…it’s generally whatever rifle I grab at the time, but I prefer the SFAR for hogs just because of the AGM 2.5 magnification. Sometimes if I plan to call coyotes in tighter cover I’ll grab it as well. Both are in the truck when I go.
Right now it’s the same bullets I use for hogs and deer…Remington CoreLokts 165grWhat bullet are you liking in that 308 for coyote?
