All these new slow tacticool cartridges that shoot as flat as a water hose Crack me up.... 6.5 creedless, 22 arch, 6 arch, 224 debauchery, etc, etc.
I'm sure that I am not alone in the goal of emulating a 22-250 in the ar platform. Which requires case capacity to push a 40-60 grain bullet at insane speed for 300 yards...
In the rare event a 22 caliber cartridge comes along that meets the criteria the barrel manufacturers screw it up by only offering a 8 twist which requires a long heavy bullet or having to reduce speed to get accuracy thus neutering the cartridge to have the trajectory of a water hose again.
The sadest thing is the conspiracy that hornady discontinued Hagar brass to coax people into purchasing the turd 22arch.
The 22nosgar and 22nxs checked all of the boxes to produce 22-250 results in an ar15 platform but requires hagar brass.
I'm spoiled by my 24" white oak barrel chambered in 22 nosler 1-12 twist a simple 6.8spc bolt swap and hagar brass pushing a 55gn spire point 3650fps or 53 varmaggedon past 3700fps with insane accuracy. Once I run out of brass what will I do? I'm sure as heck not going backwards and buying a slow azz 22arch.
I guess I'll have to go back to my 22-250 bolt gun if a miracle doesn't happen.
Do I build a 22gt and take the chance of shearing a bolt?
Do I dump a fortune and commit to 100,000 pieces of custom hagar brass?
