beats my 22 arc with the same 60 gr Vmax with a grain less powder
22 arc is a 24" gas gun ....

The Tikka 223 AI is my favorite Rifle
Built from the Action Forward ....with intent for an ultra efficient
Accurate vermin rig , using minimal powder and Easily obtained brass
It met all my expectations ....
Thats a 5 shot group breaking in the barrel...60 Gr Hornady Vmax

If somebody were to consider building a 22 ARC bolt gun
I'd highly advise you consider the 223 AI .....
It's superior in all manner

The 22 ARC has been a bit more work to find a load that groups at the velocities I want
The EABCO barrel on this was really rough in the bore ..compared to the same 6 ARC
Barrel .
I had 60 GR Vmax flying apart at 3450 fps in the 22 ARC and have never seen that
before ...I have shot these out of my 22 250 and 220 swift in the past with incredible
speed , never an issue.

I will attribute it to the rough bore compromising the thin jacket and then the 7 twist
which is obviously faster then the 2 mentioned ....RPMs are also working against me.

I have to really work the bore with Ol JB's paste and smooth her out .
Was able to get this group after scrubbing it and smoothing her out
and slowed her down to 3300fps .. same 60 Gr Vmax
All Groups are an actual 100 yds...

First was shot to the left , I made the correction on windage and shot the 4
over center of target ...Not too shabby for a gas gun...

You have to admit the lil cartridge gets the trophy for sexy lil shit ...
In a Gas Gun it's Fun ..

That has not been my experience at all with the eld vt bullets. I was getting ready to make a tomatoe stake out of a fairly new 22gt barrel until i tried the 62 eld vt. It will only shoot 85.5 bergers and 62 eld vt's. I've also had great luck with the 100 grain 6.5 eld vt.

Great to hear ...You gotta play combos until you match the frequency of your barrel ...
Once you get there the hardest part is done..

I do hope to find a combo that works ..I bought 2 k of them
