Id throw them gloves away, quick.

Just don't be scratching yourself with those gloves on ... might have something growing growths you really don't want a growth on. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've even seen them on fish before, now that I think on it.

Barry, are you located at the site of an old nuclear waste dump? :>)

I concur with the warts call. Hair can grow out funny on and around wart infected areas. Another slight possibility might be tumors of some kind. Regardless, you did that coyote a favor

Not really...(Don't have any water here.) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've seen this in many animals over a period of years in different locations throughout the U.S.

Seems like the fish were affected in bays that had big commercial plants on the shorelines though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

trapper2-- WAAAAY back on December 17, 1988, I shot a real nice male coyote while he was curled up and sleeping on a snow bank out of the wind. He had growths in his mouth very similar those in the mouth of the coyote you shot. The growths were prominent all around the outside of both the upper and lower jaws and he also had many of those growths on the roof of his mouth. The coyote I shot was in extremely good shape though and did not show any signs of starving, etc.

sorry to hijack the post... but I have seen several pics of coyotes hogtied like that... whats the reasoning? easier to carry back to the truck or something?

Wow, a coyote with an STD. He must come from San Francisco. Actually Gerry Blair does detail that disease (along with a very similar photo) in his book "Predator Calling with Gerry Blair".
