What apps do you recomend?

My tracks. Its great if you want to keep track of how far you walk, drive, hike or travel in general. It will put your tracks down on a Google Earth map

Buck Commander app is nice. You can mark all your stands on a GPS map and put info and pics for each one to keep a log. I use is a lot. It's kinda nice to show the wifey where I will be going. I use it to pic different stands to try also

Great start, keep them coming. How about any shooting/ballistic apps out there? Weather is another one I need as far as live maps and such.

I use the Weather Channel app for my weather. It has sunrise/sunset right on the main page. A couple guys I know use different ballistic apps. Not sure what they use though

Zillow....
Convert a pad
Dictionary
Knots guide (great if you fly fish)
Dish network
Offender search
Flashlight
Thinkfree office

Android, Windows or Iphone?

These are all on the android market so if that isn't what you have you'll just have to check and see if they are available.

If you are wanting to download ringtones or wall papers Zedge is a really good one. If you text much handcent sms nice. Opera mobile if you are on 3g or use wifi, it's a great web browser. Swiss army knife has a flashlight, ruler, timer, stop watch, compass, bubble level, calculator and magnifying glass all in one app. Weather bug is the best weather app I have found. Easy cache cleaner removes cached files an clears up space on your phone. battery indicator and amazon are the last to I'll list. If you have netflix there is an app that lets you watch instant view movies on your phone, just be careful it will eat through data so you probably want to use it on wifi if possible. There is pretty much anything out there you could want or need. Watch the permissions when downloading apps and make sure they aren't requesting to much access to your phone.

So here is the list I guess.

Zedge
handcent sms
opera mobile
swiss army knife
weather bug
easy cache cleaner
battery indicator
amazon
about forgot color note is a good one too.

Turkey Blast - Hilarious Game!! Buy up to badder weapons, different turkeys, different backgrounds, different surroundings, even has a Christmas Turkey, very addictive!!

Craigslist Notice - Set it for which city, and whatever you're looking for, it notifies you of all posts on that item in real time.

ConvertPad - Converts just about any measurement!! Distance, volumetric, dimensions, US to metric, very handy!!

History Eraser -
Fast Reboot - These three will all free up memory making your phone run faster and smoother.
Task Killer -

AVG Antivirus - No smart phone should be without antivirus, ever!! And, this one runs very nicely in the background, doesn't use up a lot of resources.

GPS is cool, but a simple Compass Ap is often very handy.

I do the Weather Channel and Weather Bug aps both, for the simple reason that both have problems connecting at times, and occasionally I have to fall back on the other. Weather Channel is cool in the respect that you can load and save more than one location, and scroll through them on any of the various screens.

WiFi Analysis - If you're a techy... Lets you check your current location for WiFi signal. Tells you what all is there, how strong the signal is, whether the connection is secured or not. Runs an assortment of graphs for your choosing.

Uninstaller - simplifies getting rid of unwanted aps!

Photoshop Express - Great for quick edits of Phone Pictures.

I have an app called"Ballistic v 2.5.6
You can enter the info of your gun (Cal.bullet weight, Drag model,Muzzle velocity, ect) Then you save this info. Then when your on the hunt you just enter the wind speed and direction and range and it will tell you what to dial your scope to.

I have this on my Doid. Cost $10 but is the best ballistics app. out there.

I also have a bubble level app on my doid to calculate angled shots. (Cosign of the angle "times" the straight line distance) gives you what distance you would actually range your shot for an angled shot.

There are several shot timers. (I have had the best luck with "IPSC shot timer." However it probably depends on your phone.
