Trip down south

I'm headed down to south Texas, Rio Grande Valley area early next week, for a month, either Monday or Tuesday. My plan is to make it to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntville, AL and the National WW 2 museum in New Orleans. I'm driving down from Central Michigan. I would love to hear of some cool spots along the way. Additionally, once I'm in Texas if anyone would be interested in meeting up and making a couple sets I would be very interested. I have never hunted coyotes anywhere else but Michigan. It would be cool to see how its done in other places. Thanks and happy hunting everyone.

Well, there's NASA in Houston. It's a good place to spend a day, except it's in Houston.
South Padre Island in the RGV if you like beach combing. Dirty Al's and Blackbeards are good places to eat there, but pricy.
The USS Alabama is docked at Mobile and worth a stop if you are nearby.
The French Quarter and Bourbon Street in New Orleans. It was a huge culture shock for a country boy.

The USS Lexington is at Corpus Christi as well as the Texas State Aquarium. King Ranch offers tours in Kingsville and SpaceX Starbase is @ Brownsville. No tours but you can drive by launch pads and usually have one or more rockets being prepared for launch. Nothing I would like better than to make a stand or two with you guys, but old ticker has me captive; haven't been able to get out in a little over a year. Keep hoping something will change, but so far..........
Couple more great museums in TX; National Museum of the Pacific War and TEXAS RANGER HALL OF FAME MUSEUM at Waco if not too far out of your way.
Will send PM.

Pacific Museum is great and then IF you desire, Bush library in Dallas, Bullock museum in Austin. Guess USS Texas is open now. LBJ ranch is ok in small caps.

Yesterday I was able to meet and have lunch with hm1996 and his wife. The brisket and cake we ate was fantastic. It was only second to the hospitality he and and his wife showed me during my visit. We sat and talked just about everything for three and a half hours. Thank you. I really enjoyed myself. Hm1996 is pretty alright in my book and I hope to do it again.

Thanks, Lazer, the pleasure was ours; hope you can do it again! Looking forward to seeing you any time you're down this way. Sorry we couldn't get out and bust a cap, but we really enjoyed the visit.

Mike, you just need to take a vacation from trying to depleting the entire coyote population and head down south. As they say on the road signs, Texas, a whole nother country. :)
