Not sure I will right now, but still here and have 9 or 10 calls to get out for guys that have ordered from me and these will all be in the mail by Tuesday. As I’ve told everyone Ive been gone hunting a lot so I’m in and out, and everyone has been very patient so thank you. Appreciate ya’ll !

Best of luck in your future endeavors. Hope everthing works out for you. I bought one of your calls earlier this year and I was very happy with the quality.

Appreciate it!
Just to be clear, since several people have reached out to me, I will be here on the board, just not posting calls for sale right now. Callmakers have to pay a yearly fee for that privilege and my year has expired. Until I pay up again I cannot post stuff for sale.
If anyone needs help with the calls like reed replacement etc…just shoot me a message.

We would love to see you stay on as a custom call maker. There is also an option to provide product in lieu of $$. Please reach out if you'd like to know more.

Kerry I agree, I see em out there..I think if someone reached out to them you’d snag a few. Some of the old rules/ restrictions will have to be amended or eliminated though to allow their calls to fit in. Jmo

Yep, I agree 100 percent.. Hopefully someone will reach out to them. I think there needs to be amendments made to make more calls and call makers fit in..

Ca
I bought at least a dozen calls from PM in the past…none of those makers are here any longer.
Carver was one of my favorites.
Rare Earth made gorgeous calls.
Catwhacker did a couple calls for me
Yotenhunter I think was another high end.
Bee's O'Brien

It was nice being able to see all the call makers in one place.

Calls look really cool Shadowchaser. I recently bought a closed reed howler cause I heard they are easier to use than open reed callers. Would you say that's the case? Which one have you had the most success with?

I wouldn't consider being a member since 2010 as being new. I own numerous calls that I've purchased from these forums over the years. There definitely was a time when these forums were packed with sellers and calls. Then for some reason a mass exodus occurred.
Well, welcome back under a new name! I'm with you, I have calls from all these guys and more. I always likened it to an addition; I've bought way more hand calls than I can use in a season, if I used a different on each stand! I think partly it's just because forums aren't really the "thing" any more, what with all the other social media outlets. Back in the day, there just weren't many other places on the 'net to hang out. Now there are many options, and folks are spread thinner. Some of those makers aren't in the business any longer, some have other avenues to sell. I would sure love to have them back though, and we're always on the lookout to recruit more Custom Callmakers to the board. We try to make it real easy these days to engage the members and offer new products.

I normally don't hand call much anymore. When I did though the Carver closed reeds were my go to. I actually had something happen to my favorite one(last call on right) and I sent it back and Mr. Carver repaired it for free.

I'm from PA and we used to have Kettle Creek Calls that had rabbit on one end and a squeaker on the other. I believe that he sold his call rights to Fox Pro and they eventually stopped producing them. They were pretty good too.

As for howlers, nothing beats a good cow horn imo.

Rare Earth Calls at one point dominated the World Calling competition. I haven't followed it in years so I'm out of the loop. I'm not even sure if he makes calls still.

Lonehowls calls look really good and I almost pulled the trigger on a few. I guess that I should have.

Bob retired from call making and was selling off all that gorgeous wood he had.

It's not too late to get a Lonehowl call! I like the wood ones, so I'm holding out for him to post another of those.

This has always been my name on here. I did read the forums for a bit while not being signed in so maybe that's why.

I get that folks are spread out more. Facebook and Etsy opened up many new avenues for guys. A few other forums I used to follow are dead now too.

What used to get me was when new call makers would pop up and try to charge more than the established guys. They would complain that no one would buy their stuff.

I have too many handcalls and there was a point that I was just buying too many. I had to put a limit on myself. The advantages and advancements of e-callers has also really hurt custom callers. Time changes everything.

I think I messaged him and he wasn't doing too many. I paid him for one and he sent me two and signed one if I recall.

I like Lonehowls wood ones also. I'll have to reach out and see what he can do.

The one call that I have is hippo tooth. That was a special order.

That hippo tooth is cool. I'm a sucker for antler and ebony. I've got a few cool antler calls from Catwhacker, including a blue on that really sings. Last year for Christmas I asked Yotarunner to make six antler-bodied bite reed elk calls. I gave one to each of my kids, one to each of my brothers, and one to my dad. They are excellent calls.
