Surprised They Were Able to Trap Escaped Tiger

That same thought ran through my mind when the news story came across the TV showing a "posse" gathered to search for the cat in a thick brushy area near the zoo and a couple of "pistoleros" sporting AR's. šŸ˜²

I would think trapping him wouldn't be too difficult. Living in captivity he wouldn't have a great prey drive/experience killing to eat, no fear of human scent and used to certain foods at meal time. A little hunger and his usual meal would draw him in quickly.

I got to go tiger hunting in Vietnam. We had one jump the concertina wire to get into the garbage dump tripping a flare . I ran the garbage dump and the guys in the tower asked me to flush him out so they could get him with the 50 cal. Jumped on my trusty TD-24 with my M-14 in my lap and crashed around in the brush surrounding the dump for a couple hours, never saw him then or again after that. Closest I've come to tiger hunting, at least they don't shoot back.
