Starlings anyone?

Do any of you consider it addicting to take out starlings with shotguns?

I personally think its great. Our farm has horrible problems with starlings, and there will literally be flocks by the thousands.

Its not that hard to get 10+ birds out of one shot, my brother once got over 20 out of one shot.

Its very bad though, because starlings will contaminate the heifer feed, so i get rid of all the starlings i can!
Hello where is your farm located. I would love to help out with starlings for free. I have high end suppressed air rifles.

May be late, but still can be a lot of action, we used to use shotguns, but today it's urban action, no longer from my buddies farm. So today I use my 22's and 17's, bad thing is I think they are even more addicting,

Foxpro has a starling screams sound, if you play that they will all flock up to the tree above you and start screaming back. Easy to pick off a couple before they get wise.

I had a 20gr 4200 fps load for my 17 rem that would leave just the legs hanging upside down on branches. The puff of feathers and seeing the leg or legs hanging never grew old.
YES oH YES, I have a 17 fireball that runs 20's about that speed. yes it will leave just legs on the twigs, That little 20 with a just right hit will leave just a waft of feathers in the air. its a very dramatic hit. using a shotgun is boring in comparison. use a suppressor on it and with some varmints you can watch the hydrostatic shock of the bullet impact sometimes. mine is an 18" cz 527 loaded with a stiff charge of n133 or benchmark depending on my mood. its at pacnor getting a new barrel getting a new barrel. The last couple days I have been hearing a bunch of birds around the house. its got me jonesing to have it back!
