Sighting in 22-250

The only thing I would add to the suggestions above is that working at extended yardages at the range will only help improve your odds in the field. Understanding subtle things like parallax error and how it can trip you up at longer distances while at the range is money in the field.
 
For optics higher above bore than the "normal" 1.5 ". For example 2.5" 22-250 50 gr vmax(factory ammo @3800 ft) 1000 ft elevation. Parallax error(12x and higher) and spin drift, elevation, humidity, wind drift and barrel indexing can error stack slight variation from expected GRAVITATIONAL drop. Not having the reticle plum to the bore and or tilting the rifle is a big error inducing factor.
A zero at 250 yards results with
