Short bolt action builds 16-18"

I couldn't pass on this little X-Bolt 308, put it in a McSwirly and it's a ton of fun to shoot. I haven't had time to get out and do any calling, but as soon as it cools down here, I will get after the pigs and yotes.

I had a Rem 600 in 308 with an 18" barrel and just couldn't get used to it. next got a Mod 660 in 308 with a 20" barrel and it was good to go for a lot of years. Don't know that the 2" of barrel really made much difference but the 660 handled a lot better for me. Everything I have today on a 308 case has a 22" barrel and those on long actions a 24" barrel. Just seem to work better for me. Oh, my 6.5x55 is a mod 70 with a 22" barrel love it!

Well a few weeks ago finally got my last suppressor. No more sharing cans between rifles like a peasant. Great thing about rifles with 16" barrels and folding stocks, just take the suppressor off while youre hiking between stands abd the rifle fits right in your pack.

16" 1:8 223 carbine and a yhm fatcat can. Wrecked his evening. My only daylight yote. I think that is my semi ar-15, I do have a 16" side charger with the gas tube removed making it a pa legal big game rig.

What chassis are those? I really want a folding stock bolt gun.

Ive got a Savage Target action with a 30" 260AI Criterion barrel and Nightforce 32x scope set up for Fclass but I havent been using it. Im thinking of selling that rifle and building an 18" 260AI in a BHW barrel.
