Red spotted sow

Went to the lease to do some bush jogging yesterday. I have not been able to get out there in several weeks and my cell camera on this particular spot had the batteries die over a week ago so, but the hogs had been thick before it died and big boar I was looking for. They showed up just before the feeder went off, but the boar was not with them, so I took out the biggest sow.

No. Could have been. Most are either pregnant or have pigs. She didnt have any pigs with her. The picture was taken a couple hours after I shot her. We were doing some tractor work first.

Just like axis deer. They are always carrying a baby. Not sure if I’ve ever shot one that wasn’t carrying.

I run cameras at all my bait sites and always try and identify the sows prior to sneaking in on them. Sows, especially the older ones are always the first shot. And I get real lucky if they’re spotted because I can identify them in the thermal.
