Predator hunting in Southeast Europe

As some friends have been known to say, "My bullet hit a bug". :D The difference is that you have the proof. Amazing how thermal picks up the bullet in flight.

Thats not thermal. That video was taken by my frend whit nightvision add-on Pard 007s. I was shooting he was filming. That fox hade a lot of luck, she dodged 4 shots in total. 3 mine and one of my frend.
This is a full video from that hunt:

Not a night hunter. Understand how thermal could pick up a bullet in flight; did not know NV did as well. Thanks for sharing.
ETA: Fox got away, but you sure killed that hay bale dead! ;) :ROFLMAO: One lucky fox.

I am 99% night hunter. Now it's kind of unusual for me that everything can be seen during daylight hunting :D I have seen a lot of bullets by naked eat during lamping.

I’m with you Clarence. That looked like nothing I have ever personally seen or had picked up by a night vision optic. Looked like a tracer round!

Nightshooter88, What caliber are you shooting? Is the ammunition a subsonic velocity round?

I am using 223 rem. That was 77gr Sierra TMK going about 2700 fps. Distance to the fox was about 200 yards.
Good stuff. Jackal sound like they would be fun to hunt. I'll have to put it on my bucket list.
Ooo yes they are. In my hunting ground, it is almost impossible to see them and shoot them until the sunflower and corn harvest is done. The jackal's howl can be quite creepy, sometimes they sound like a baby crying...

One of hunting stands that my friend and I use

Interesting that he seemed to ignore the rabbit, or was he staking the rabbit and was distracted by your call?

Fox was called in with electronic call. In my hunts I saw very different stuff, sometimes foxes totally ignore rabbits, sometimes they go on thacks rabbits went earlier...You can see the size of that rabbit, its fardher away from the fox

You're really getting after them and by the looks of it you are having a great season. Tell me about your night hunting scope.
