New steel target for the 300 yd line

That's pretty neat.

I used to put on a coyote shoot for the Wa Pred Hunters Assc.

We set these out to 300+ yards in an old gravel pit, lots of brush so we could make it realistic. I even built a pop up that I could activate from the shooting line. It kind of got tiring to run out 300 yards to score them so I made heart lung steel to hang behind, worked great.

Sounds like a great idea, Erich. Are the silhouettes disposable (cardboard, etc.) with a concealed vital gong? Our club has a 600 yard range. Now if we could only find someone interested in running a shoot like that I'd bet we could get some shooters out. We do have target pits and could arrange for pop ups pretty easy; and scoring for that matter.

I use old discarded political signs (corrugated plastic) for my personal target boards and they are somewhat self healing. Wouldn't be hard to cut silhouettes from that material and use self adhesive pasters to cover holes. If nothing else, I may have to make up a couple for my own use. THX(y)
