These aren't available for purchase at this time.

300 yards on coyote-sized game would be a stretch on this unit in my opinion. Adult Hogs at that distance would be okay, but you'll be limited to 200 yards for coyotes. I would stick with the Pulsar's you mentioned for those distances.

I hope the batteries last longer they did in the Pulsar Apex. If not you better buy em in bulk is all I can tell you. Constantly having to monitor and change batteries is enough to drive me away from any optic no matter how good.

We have this that is going to release right after Shot Show. Hanging stuff off a butt stock is cumbersome with DVR's etc. We hope this rail mount battery system will help.

And yes, the cable and housing Made in the USA.

Identification. Detection will be double that or more in the right conditions.

Thanks for the reply. Would snow cover and cold weather help in detection and identification?

It could increase detection but will NOT aid in identification.

Ok how much for the battery pack?

Receiving a bunch of mail on the new battery pack...

For those looking to save on the some BATTS, we will be releasing the new pic rail battery packs at Shot Show in a few weeks and shipping immediately after the show.

It will work with any USB cable and for release we have made a dedicated PTS-233 cable for the new rail pack.

While final pricing has not been determined until Shot Show, the complete kit including the Pic Cradle, Battery and Cables will be under $100. Thank you.

How fast can I get my hands on one of these scopes if I wanted one? Flir customer service is killing me and I need a back up that won’t break the bank. I need it here before the 19th. Any chance that can happen?

For some reason I can't get my PTS233 to talk to my computer. I'm running Vista and need a driver I can't find so I thought I'd use my iPad to view and manage my pics and videos but then I ran into needing an Apple Lightning to whatever this plug is that you need to plug into the PTS233.

Would someone that is more tech savvy than me please tell me what cable I need and whether or not my iPad will suffice for that task?

*** EDIT *** I found device drivers with google after an engineer from Armasight couldn't help me and said I needed device drivers.

Here is the link I found. I downloaded the exe file for 64 bit and it took quite a while to download and the installation took several minutes to install with several permissions to install stuff but it works GREAT now....

http://flir.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/47/~/when-i-connect-my-flir-camera-to-the-usb-port-it-asks-for-a-camera-driver.

I'm still looking for a cable for my iPad and info on whether it can access and manage the files too.

*** END OF EDIT ***

What is the cable end connector I need? Not the Lightning one that connects to my iPad or iPhone...

I think you'll find that it's automatic. At least that's what Tom said somewhere (I think on his unboxing video) and I don't worry about it on my PTS233.

NUC, or Flat Field, is automatic. It is on a time and temperature interval. You can also command a flat field yourself by momentarily pressing the up and down buttons simultaneously. There is an internal shutter so no lens cap is needed.

Just completed testing of the new pic rail battery pack for the PTS233 we have shown above. We got 13.5 hrs continuous at room temp, (65deg F).
