New bluetooth call

Is the new Icotec bluetooth call any good? How does it work?

I know a guy who loves Icotec and sent his back or sold it within the first week.

I've had a couple bluetooth calls and range is limited and sold them after the first season.

I have the Outlaw+ which has Bluetooth capabilities and like it. I can go to Animal Audio and play from there or any other app I have and play from it. Range is limited to about 100yds or so unlike the remote range which is farther than I want to walk and set out a call, lol.

I have the nightstalker+ and it works very well. You can use the remote like normal or connect it to you phone or whatever, just like any Bluetooth speaker. I have not tried their range that they claim. I know it works at least 30 yards away from a treestand.

Your phone syncs up with the caller via Bluetooth. You can play Pandora on it if you want, lol.

Yep, what Spur said. My Foxpro X2s has bluetooth and I can sync it to my phone and play music or sound files. It’s a lousy speaker for music, and I never tested it for range or consistency.

I suppose if someone lost or broke their remote in the field this feature would allow them to continue hunting if you have sound files stored or accessible on your phone. Probably with some limitations on distance.

Icotec advertises 100yd range and they aren’t too far off with a clear line of sight for Bluetooth.
