Need a new 300

My 300 WM has a carbon fiber barrel & is 26” long. When I add my 7” suppressor that makes for 33” of barrel. The rifle becomes very unwieldy for hunting. Since I can’t cut down a CF barrel, I’m looking for a new rifle.
I cut down my 22-250 to 18”, my 6.5 CM to 20” for using a suppressor. I’ve been nothing but pleased. I’m thinking a 22” barrel on a 300 is about the ight compromise between velocity and maneuverability. Thoughts?
I’ve been looking at the Fierce Rouge, and the Seekins Presicion PH3. Both 22 inch barrels. Any thoughts?
Thx

It is a shame there are so many cartridges, yet some of the better ones have components that are hard to find, and expensive when you do.

Have you considered a 300 WSM ?

Short actions aren't night and day length savings. But they are shorter.

The 6.8 Western is another good shorty, that punches hard.

I’m an advocate of velocity in my hunting rifles. My 22-250 and 223 AR are both 22” and have a 6” supressor.
My 300 win mag has a 26” barrel and I’ll not cut it or suppress it. I’ll likely shoot it 1-3 shots a year in the field and I prefer to have the velocity and wear hearing protection while taking the shot.

How about just pulling the barrel and changing that way? If you don't plan on needing it as a backup I'd just rebarrel it to the length you need. Not to ever talk you out of 300wm but a nice updated version if you reload is the 300prc, if you don't I'd stay with the wm.
