Heck, I dont even know how a Garand works, but it definitly was a Garand and in 458 Win mag.
I was imagining a recoil spring off a datsun pick up.
The emptys only flipped about three feet, I noticed cause he set up on my left and I was worried about his brass. (been hit before)
The tube under the barrel was large, the diameter of the barrel or more, and extended to about within 3 inches of the end of the barrel or so. The front sight was a post and had the protecting wings. The rear sight normal Garand.
Is the bolt face flat? or does it surround part of the base?
Anyway ya gota admire american ingenuity.
