Howdy all.

I'm going to try some barnes ttsx 80gr bullets this year in 25-06, the newest manual on the shelf at the shop doesn't even list the bullet in any 25 caliber I could find, only down to 100gr and only tsx, which is odd. Anyway if someone has a different manual id appreciate the assist. Id like to use varget if possible, I've been reducing my powder inventory for a while and have a few uses and easy access for it. But off the top of my head I've got a little h4350 left and h4198, h4895.

try this: 25-06 80gr TTSX

Mind these are for a Boat tail TTSX, not sure if yours are though.
Just go through and put in for 25-06 and bullet weight, the TTSX are the only 80gr that come up.

In the past I have called Barnes and they have emailed me PDF files of their load data. The files have contained quite a bit more data than what is listed on their website.

Looks like the Barnes website only shows two powders for that bullet:

Tried that.

The manual doesn't show the bullet
the website doesn't show the powder

the hodgdon site took care of both

I'll be trying the 80gr ttsx at about 3500'ish fps on antelope this friday. Much of what I've read on the bullet is showing the light for caliber copper bullets performing equally well as traditionally heavier lead bullets. So I'm giving the speed kills theory a shot on these ones.

I also loaded some 150's into my 30-06. Working at the max load with varget (0 pressure signs) and the starting depth off the lands, both rifles shot very well with the bullet. The bullet is WAY too expensive for me to work a ton on development vs my cheapies, so I'm calling it good enough. Assuming all goes well this season it can stay as a hunting bullet, the 1 box of each will last me well past until I die at 1 of each a year. And I'll keep using my other bullets for the 'make it go bang again' days at the range.
