Iray repair problems

Got a TX60C, Iray & rings. Scope keeps moving so POI is off 6 inches. Ordered different rings (ADM) to try per recommendations. If it doesn't hold zero, off to Iray.

Question had to do with poi. They want you to put it on another gun, shoot factory ammo, send pictures etc.

Other than the 'factory ammo' as I rarely shoot factory except for Commi x39 and rimfire . That something you should do anyway is to cancel out all the variables. I always try back-up my warranty complaints with fact.

for IRay, only thing I had, After 1 year my iRay dual-Battery Charger was doing some malfunctioning on one side. did the on-line warranty thing and got an email couple days later. had a new Charger about a week after that in my Mail.
.

I had issues with Iray cs last year. I had a scope that was acting up and wanted it fixed or replaced under warranty. They argued enough with me I vowed to never buy any Iray junk again. I’ve compared my Iray to other manufactures stuff and will be changing my scopes. Iray customer service was good a few years ago but no more in my opinion. They can’t fix bad product if it’s design never worked from day 1. All rays have this problem that I’ve seen to date.

Exactly what I have found so far. They had this scope last year,& said there was nothing wrong with it. Will not shoot the same place 2 days in a row, for week. month, or year. I now have a different brand. Can not fix my bubbies either.

It's the scope. Document time, conditions, take pictures. Do not even hint that you are using handloads.
I have a target at 50 yards, put a day scope on it 3 shots touching. Same target Iray back on 3 shots not one bullet hole touching inch group. Today 1 shot 1inch from yesterdays group

I feel the same way.

I must say I have had the opposite experience with IRAY. I started with the Bolt 640 about three years ago. It had a minor issue and was fixed pronto. It was perfect after that and always held zero with no issues. I then ran the Hybrid 50 for a year or so and it was flawless. I lost the battery charge rubber cover and sent an email and had a new one in a few days. I never had a POI change the whole time I used it and it killed a pile of coyotes. I just sighted in a NocPix Ace H50R a few minutes ago and it was very straight forward and worked perfectly.

Iray should have a 10yr warranty if they don’t honor it. Or rename themselves Iray insurance. We all know how well insurance works. Maybe there scopes have a pre existing issue not covered by the coverage lol

I have a few of their products and have never had a reason to send one in. They hold zero and work just fine. The only time I sent anything in was I had two MH25s in a bino set up and I couldn't get the images to match (brightness, etc.). I had purchased them years apart. Iray swapped out one of the lenses because they had made a change over time. No charge and fast turnaround.

There was another manufacturer of a different brand that grilled me on a problem I had with theirs. I wouldn't say it was great CS, but in the end it wasn't terrible either. They fixed it under warranty.

POI is the issue you have problems with. If you don;t jump thru their hoops they won't even look at it.

Is Iray the same as Infiray? If so, then so far my Bolt TL-35 v2 is doing great, has held zero all winter. I hope it continues to.

Iray distributes Infiray. Big and bold on WS, 5 year, 5 day turn around on warranty issues. So out front makes me wonder if they have heard about qc online discussions.

Knock on wood, the only issue I had was when I first received it, the internal battery wouldn’t hold a charge. My dealer gave me a new one and sent that one back. I guess I should also mention I buy all my thermals from an individual and he handles any issues I may have, so far that’s been it.

Would you accept 2inch groups at 50 yards? That is the kind of groups I get with my Iray. I will send them my target Monday after 4 more shots.

What groups do you get with same rifle/ammo and traditional scope(same rest)? Target and sun position during day can be critical for zeroing thermals. I see a lot of shooters in the fall, happy with 4" groups at 100 yard.
