Bumping this back up, because I’m looking at doing the same thing. I have the AGM seeker monocular and there’s a few new options for mounting those now. @Damon Dog are you still liking the Rhino 2 mount with the AGM taipan?

I’m really considering going with the Rhino 2 mount and converted dovetail. I don’t think I want to buy a Wilcox at this point.

I have a shellback tactical helmet, which is definitely overkill but it’s what I got. Have the Wllilcox shoe/mount installed already.

Yep I’m still running it. It’s never let me down. I’m still running a tiapan on it. The seeker has a little better image. My partner runs a seeker or I think they are calling them the tiapan v2 now. I’ve looked through his and it better than the original. I’ve never ran a Wilcox or any other mount just my rhino so I don’t know if I’m missing out on anything. All I can tell u is that it works.

Good to hear. Sounds like I’m going with the Rhino 2. I’m in a Tacoma and tundra so I’ll just plan on taking the helmet off in the truck.

Could he run the same 3d printed mount as your taipan? I contacted a manufacturer on eBay and he said the v2 seeker/taipan was a little different for mounting.

It is different but works just fine. He took a dremel tool and gouged out a hole for the usb c port. The hole doesn’t line up. It looks a little rough but works fine
 
So I just put this together. I got a shellback tactical level 3 helmet (I know it’s overkill but after reading the Virginia hunting incident, I figure I’d rather have the protection), mount is a Argus A4 bought thru SNR industries, and the other mount is from Spectrum Advanced Manufacturing for the AGM Seeker. To be honest, I’m not impressed with the Spectrum seeker mount at all. It’s polymer and has a ton of slop in it.

So far it’s a usable set up from my limited testing in the backyard.
