I am still new to trapping but am learning some things. I am really liking my DP traps for use in the barn yard and around my small ranch. In my first week of trapping I have got 6 raccoons and 1 possum. I have had equal luck with marshmellows and sardines.-
There are some good dog proofs out there, but the FB1 is by far the easiest/quickest to set IMO. I bought a dozen a few years ago to use around my sweetcorn. They work great.
Glad to see this. There is only one place that sells traps close and they have both styles of freedom brand traps and thinking about picking a few up tomorrow
Haven’t tried those yet. I have Duke and some Bridgers and haven’t lost a critter yet. So what makes these easier to set? Haven’t had any issues setting Dukes or Bridgers.
Dry cat food with real anise oil, use a golf ball on top the trap if mice are a problem. A great draw that it is mice proof, a strip of cloth dipped in real shellfish oil 3-4 feet above the set.
