Hooked....I always have really liked "Children Of The Sun". It seemed to me that it was ahead of it's time.
Ironically, I don't recall hearing a lot of Thorpe's songs on the radio prior to the release of that song...even though he'd been around for years.
And, I don't recall hearing much on the radio of his AFTER this song came out....except of course the song in question....even though he was recording up to his death in 2007.
As for JP, this would be a favorite of mine.
I like the transition from rather mellow to...IDK, make the hair on me arm stand up just before the 6 minute mark.
Another bit with this quality, would be Black Sabbath; Fluff followed by Sabra Cadabra.
I never liked the old Rock & Roll Jerry Lee Lewis.
But, I have always been partial to his late-60s and later Country side.
I blame it on my dad, who used to have a couple of Jerry's Country 8-track tapes...and he would play them over the household intercom system when I was a kid.
Here's enough to fill a CD filled with beer-drinkin' tunes!!
