FoxPro warranty

Why if you purchase a new in box Foxpro Fusion off Ebay from a seller that may not be listed as an authorized dealer the warranty will not be valid. The product had to be produced and sold by Foxpro at some point and if the serial # has not been previously registered why should they not honor the warranty. I understand the about protecting the dealer network but how do these calls get in the hands of unauthorized sellers at such a high volume, and should you not protect the consumer first if in fact it is your product. Just feel its Bullcrap. If they made it and let it leave the production facilities doors it should be warranted as long as its serial # has not been previously registered. Appreciate your thoughts

I can understand them verifying by serial #, and refusing warranty work if it is in fact an illegal clone. Also Happy Thanksgiving to all

I currently have not purchased a call as yet, however the reason for this post is I always use the internet to shop for deals and when something that appears to be a good deal pops up I'll grab it, but in the case of looking for a Fox Pro call the possibility of a warranty issue prevents me from being able to take advantage of these situations. Im sure Im not the only one out there that tries to get the most for their money. Now lets be clear, Im not talking about purchasing a used call and expecting a warranty, Im talking about brand new in factory sealed box. Maybe Foxpro Mike Dillon will respond.

Thanks again

I've heard that also, but I can't believe they wouldn't honor the warranty no matter where it was bought. Heck I bought my Fury used, and called in and they upgraded the remote dial for free. They didn't ask for serial number or anything like that.

It is Foxpros way to protect their authorized dealers who have to adhere to MAP pricing... A non authorized seller on EBay can sell them cheaper, but it's a coin flip if the warranty is valid..

I bought a shock wave from a site that was not listed as an authorized dealer by FoxPro.
I emailed them and asked them if they were an authorized dealer when I ordered it, and they stated that they were, later on when I found and looked at the list of authorized dealers, they were not on the list! I called FoxPro, told them what was going on, and that I had an email where this co. said it was an authorized dealer. FoxPro said they would honor the 5 yr. warranty because of what I was told, and I do have a copy of that email to back up what I told them.
Thank you FoxPro, now if only I would get to use it!
