FoxPRO AR4 ... questions

I found a pretty good deal on a FoxPro AR4. I'm new to the eletric calling. IS this call any good. Adveristment say the remote is good up to 100yds, is that true. What kind of battery life does it have. Will I be happy with this for a starter call. Thank, Trent
 
if you are getting it for way less than 200 dollars than maybe it is a deal...the ar4 is only as good as whatever sounds you are running through it....with whatever type of player...

for 200 you can buy the new spitfire which should be a good call.
 
As you can see in my Avatar I had an AR4. As you can also see I did have sucess with it.

It will play anything you can put on your MP3 player. I found the remote to be only marginal. The remote only allows you to control volume and go to an onboard mouse sound. The biggest issue for me was the inability to switch what sounds you play.

I did like the ability to make and sequences in my computer that I could play. But in the end, being the control freak that I am I wanted to be able to choose sounds based on what happened on a stand.
