Double Tapping?

When I hear the words "double tap" I thought you were talking one shooter going bang, bang, like on full auto, into one coyote.
Gangsta's came to mind. Sorry.

That's what I thought too, maybe synchronized mayhem would be a better descriptor....

Yep… I completely understand the confusion. I too think of a double tap as a one gun, two shot term. When I initially posted this I had just read another post that said “We counted down and double tapped” so I just ran with it.

Regardless, of proper definition, it isn’t something that I do for reasons I mentioned. Some folks do it, and it works for them. I guess as Clarence mentioned, it probably comes down to practice. I would rather know I’m doing it right (or wrong) on my own.

I usually double tap them myself, 5.56 AR is nice for that and makes up for the "weaker" .223 cal
