dd wolf hunter

Finally got my wolf hunter. Took a few shots yesterday. Put each of my centerfire cans on my trio of ruger 243s. Fired the same load from each. Banish 30 in 9" form (14.9oz), harvester evo (12.6oz), and wolf hunter(8.8oz). I understand the other 2 are 30 cal cans vs the ddwh 6mm. The trees behind my house make it hard to get a real feel on suppression because it can echo, but the larger diameter cans (evo,wh) have a slightly different tone. The wolf hunter definitely sounded quietest or had the softest tone imo. I'll take them up to our farm for a good range day with some buddies cans once the grounds dries up up here. I would definitely recommend it.

Several years ago I did a hearing test on my Form 1 suppressor. I set my bench at the fence line in the top of the picture, & had a buddy shoot my gun into the hillside 300 yards away to the right of the dead tree. That way the sonic crack of the bullet would not skewer the results, & being a wide open pasture, terrain didn't come into play either.

I had him do one shot at each at 100, 200, 300, 400, & 500 yards while I stood off to the side out of harm's way. Of course 1, 2, & 300 was still audible, 400 would have been covered up with a small synchronized fart, 500 was not audible at all. I was pleased with the results.
