I would have to agree on the busy reticles, I was looking at the SHV but that and the weight have led me to look at more options.I like the Nightforce NX8 2.5-20x50. I think its a great scope for a daytime coyote rifle.
Nice low end with decent magnification in a smallish scope. Comes in second focal plane
What I dont like about it is the busy reticle.
The weight on the swaro's looks nice. Can you tell a whole lot of difference between the 42 vs. the 50? What model do you have, z3? Zeiss is another nice looking option but it is 23oz.Well Im all daytime and have Swarovski 3x 10x42…4x12x50 …3x18x52 on a few calling rifles. All good. Have a Zeiss 4x16x50 and it’s a good scope as well.
Ain’t gonna lie.. I could get by with a straight fixed 6 power for 95% of my calling. Not even sure you can find a fixed power scope nowdays? Ain’t looked.
Mostly Z3s yes. The 42 is nice for a lightweight calling rig. My favorite is the 50 though. Not a huge difference but enough. These are all 1 inch tubes. The weight on the swaro's looks nice.
