Doing good since Dec 22. Had my share of mints and seeds. I have the $ in the coffee can only figured in my head, I should actually have real money in a real can so I can look at it. I talked to a guy today who quit 14 years ago, he had the same approach I did in quitting-don't overthink it, just did it. It was good to hear a similar story that worked.

I heard from a guy today who quit 14 years ago. He paid cash for a new truck,

My Grandparents had a son after all the rest of the kids were grown and gone. Grandfather quit smoking when BOB was born, e saved his 'smoke money' and paid cash for a car when Bob was 16.

It will make a difference if you toss the money in a can every day.

Good for you guys that are hanging in there.
Stick with it..

I bet you would have enough to buy a really nice Quad before you know it.

I'm going to buy a CZ527 carbine in 7.62x39 with an IOR Valdada 4x fixed power optic in some QD mounts. I've been putting the money aside so that I can physically see it every day, keeps me motivated.

Good job Chupa. When you start trading snuff for toys, its easier to get inspiration. Especially when you get the nice toys like you mention.

I all ready bought some bullets and powder. Going for a bigger item next time.
Ten days in the books. Congrats to all who have kicked any bad habit!

I'm still hanging in there! Treated my self with some new calls last week! Good job to the rest of you fellers!!!!

The most productive thread I've seen in my short time on here. Coming from a long time clean former (3 pack a day) nicotine addict. The toughest and best thing I ever did was quit years ago. The worst is over.

Well, since I started this thread I should chime in...

I am going through a very difficult time with going through a divorce (not finial until February) I have cheated with cope more times than I can count. I have embarrassed myself on this site by purchasing a custome call and having my Paypal payment denied by my bank because my soon to be X emptied our account. Everyone has their share of difficulties and that is just life. I am on day TWO being cope clean and it...well it just SUCKS!

I joined this site many years ago as a someone who liked the challenge of hunting a animal that's smarter than most, and have learned more than any book or DVD could have tought me. I now help out farms and ranches with predator problems and have become very good at it.

It makes me proud everyday when I see this thread on the front page. I am very proud of all the feedback it has recieved and it should be a tacky on the page. Tobacco is a serious issue that effects many hunters and their families. Stay strong my predator master family!

Burris, I want you to remember how bad day 1 sucks, don't ever forget for one second all the withdrawal symptoms. The good news is that you don't ever have to go through day one again, unless you want to. Do you want to?

Chupa

Chupathingy is right. It gets easier.

Stuff happens to us that we have little or no control over in life. When something we can decide to control shows up we should try to take advantage of the opportunity to get back in charge. When it is as important as this, it's even better to be in charge.

Hang in there. You can kick the habit.
